Valero Starts Hydrocracker at Three Rivers, Texas, Refinery

     Nov. 17, 2008 (Bloomberg) — Valero Energy Corp., the largest U.S.
refiner, has started a hydrocracker at its Three Rivers, Texas,
refinery after planned maintenance.
     The unit “was restarted over the weekend,” said Bill Day,
a Valero spokesman. It was shut last month and is increasing to
planned rates.
     The refinery can process 97,000 barrels of oil a day,
according to the U.S. Energy Department.
