Repsol La Coruna refinery due to restart on Friday
Reporting by David SheppardLONDON, Oct 28 (Reuters) – Repsol’s 120,000 barrel per day La Coruna refinery in north west Spain is due to restart on Friday, a company spokesman said on Tuesday. The company’s coker, FCC and hydrotreater have all been offline since mid to late September.The coker was not expected to restart until the middle of November.
“Maintenance is almost complete and start-up is expected for the end of this week, barring any problems on restart,” the Repsol spokesman said.
Repsol also said it had taken an ethylene unit offline at its Tarragona refinery, and an ethanol cracker halted last week. It is expected to be offline for 40 days, the company said.
The visbreaker at Repsol’s Bilbao refinery is expected to be back online by the end of the week.
