ConocoPhillips Alliance Refinery Shuts Cat Cracker After Leak

     July 29, 2008 (Bloomberg) — ConocoPhillips shut a gasoline-
producing unit at its Alliance refinery in Belle Chasse,
Louisiana, because of a leak yesterday, a state environmental
regulatory spokesman said.
     The leak in a pump early yesterday necessitated shutting
the fluid catalytic cracking unit, Tim Beckstrom, public
information officer with Louisiana Department of Environmental
Quality, said in a telephone interview.
