We are in the design stage from a Coker Unit in Petronor, Bilbao, Spain. We would like to get information about coker units that have installed a coker gas compressor with fix or variable speed ELECTRICAL MOTOR and the control from these processes. Does anyone have experience with variable speed drives (electrical and/or hydraulic) installed in the coker gas compressor and sending the blown down gases to the compressor suction with a vent gas compressor. We would appreciate information of the operation of the vent gas compressors and how do you manage the discontinuous flow from the blowdown . Any information on the subject would be welcome. Thanks.
