Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) — Exxon Mobil Corp., the world’s
largest oil company, said the No. 5 coke drum at the company’s
Beaumont, Texas, refinery was taken out of service for repair
because of a leak.
The unit was shut early yesterday, the company said in a
filing with state regulators. The shutdown resulted in the
release of chemicals including propylene, propane and hydrogen
sulfide into the air.
