BP L.A. refinery to restart units by October 31
Tuesday Oct 23, 2007 CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Reuters) – BP expects to finish the restart of a crude unit and a coking unit at its 265,000 barrel per day Los Angeles market refinery in Carson, California, by October 31, sources familiar with refinery operations said on Tuesday.
The units were shut on October 4 for a planned overhaul. BP notified Los Angeles pollution regulators on Tuesday the restart may cause the refinery to use the safety flare system between October 25 and 31.
