-Bring Contractors in early — utilize contractor to help with risk analysis and workscope generation, also teambuilding with all specialties and crafts involved in the turnaround to buy into common goal.
-Benchmark healthy unit after turnaround — by benchmarking the unit can be compared to find anomalies that may be an indication of work that needs to be done; this goes along with data mining and thermal studies.
-Have a multi site experienced FCCU Advisor — the advisor should be involved at the very concept of the project and would be the economic champion to sell the budget to management.
-Streamline inspection process
