HOUSTON, (Reuters) – A boiler in the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit suffered a malfunction on Friday at ConocoPhillips’ 146,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery in Borger, Texas, according to a notice with Texas environmental regulators.
The Friday morning malfunction is described as a “process upset” affecting the carbon monoxide boiler in the 67,000 bpd unit 29 FCC, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
