ConocoPhillips to Shut Sweeny Refinery FCC
HOUSTON, Oct 26, 2009 (Reuters) – ConocoPhillips was preparing to shut a gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit at its 247,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Sweeny, Texas, refinery on Monday, according to a notice filed with state pollution regulators.
The shutdown would be to repair a leak in a cooling tower on the unit, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
