Conoco Plans to Start Cat Cracker at Borger, Texas, Refinery

June 8 (Bloomberg) — ConocoPhillips, the second-largest
U.S. refiner, plans to start its Unit 40 fluid catalytic
cracking unit at the Borger, Texas, refinery by tomorrow,
according to a filing with state regulators.
Conoco reported flaring started between 12:12 a.m. and
12:18 a.m. local time on June 6, the company said in a separate
filing.
The refinery can process about 153,000 barrels a day,
according to the company’s Web site. Valero Energy Corp. is the
biggest U.S. refiner.
