Nov. 10, 2008 (Bloomberg) — ConocoPhillips, the second-largest
U.S. refiner, said it will shut a compressor at the Sweeny,
Texas, refinery.
The Houston-based company plans to shut the compressor
between today and Nov. 14 to “tie in” a suction drum, according
to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The refinery can process 260,000 barrels of oil a day,
according to the U.S. Energy Department.
