Duration Of Coke Drum Blowouts

I assume typical coke drum blowouts are in the realm of 0.5 to 3.0 seconds in duration. Does anyone else have different experience? Do cave-ins aggravate blowouts? Might blowouts be extended, in the double jeopardy event, during a cave-in coupled with a slow water boil stream off? Has anyone seen a top coke drum blowout in excess of two seconds?

The first mistake I see is when you assume something in Coking.  Coking is not as predictable as many major refinery process’s.  I have experienced blowouts lasting much longer than you suggest.
