NEW YORK, Sept 15, 2009 (Reuters) – Oil major Exxon Mobil Corp reported a coker unit snag on Monday afternoon at its 348,500-barrel-per-day Beaumont, Texas, oil refinery, according to a company environmental filing on Tuesday.
“A crack was discovered shortly after switching into the No. 7 coke drum,” Exxon said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. “The Far West furnace was circulated to stop the source of the leak.”
