Exxon Shuts Cat Cracker and Alkylation Unit for Maintenance

      By Aaron Clark
Sept. 9, 2009 (Bloomberg) — Exxon Mobil Corp., the world’s
largest oil company, is shutting a fluid catalytic cracker and an
alkylation unit for planned maintenance at its Joliet, Illinois,
      refinery.
“We are beginning the process of shutting down” for
several weeks, Tricia Simpson, a spokeswoman for Exxon Mobil,
said in a telephone interview. The plant has one cat cracker,
according to Simpson, who declined to say when the two units
      would be back in service.
The refinery is located about 40 miles (64 kilometers)
southwest of Chicago and can process about 262,000 barrels of
crude a day, according to Simpson.

What is the actual capacity at Exxon’s Joliet refinery? I see it quoted as 239,000 bpd, however, this article states 262,000 bpd. Has there been a recent expansion/coker or is one being planned?
