Doing refinery decant yield balance – ran across UOP article filed 2006 about refineries switching to Bitumen/Syncrudes from Light Canadian or other Lt Crudes COULD see FCC yields drop by 20% and/or decant yields triple.
Anyone have any experience with this after new expansions /coker additions and sizeable increase in Bitumen crude charge?
Separate question – What is average FCC decant/clarified/slurry yield (~ 3-5%) & how much does it go up when you are recycling it back coker ?
