Heater Charge Pump Check Valves

We have been having a problem with our Swing Gate Check Valve on our Delayed Coker Heater Charge Pump. It appears to be sticking fairly often when we switch pumps. This results in a heater trip and reverse rotation occurs on the pump. 
Does anyone have any good solutions for this? Does anyone use a different type of valve?

We have had some success using the NOZ-CHEK model of check valve in place of the swing check valves. We also have had success modifying the existing swing checks after first understanding the root cause(s) of the failures.
