      is anybody out there with knowledge in iron contaminattion ?I mean more than 300 ppm in the coke, what is the problem with the calcinated coke?we are working with 300 ppm of iron in the green coke but we have to drain to much oil and water in the destilation desalter.is another way to reduce iron in the coker feed?

      There are some iron sequestrants that can be dosed to the dessalter. Another thing to be done is to cut and separate 3 to 4 meters of the bottom of the drum (the cone). This part concentrates the iron by 1.5 from the rest of the drum.
