We have a hydrotreater that receives its production from DCU. The feedstocks is coker Light gasoil.
Our hydrotreater has a backwash filter with 25 micron in the screens. Recently, the filter has plugged a lot.
Analysis from our lab showed that the “dirty” is mainly iron (FeS). We processed very often on the DCU main tower vessel “condensate” from our flares. This condensante is from the flare blowdown that are from the process units.
We think that our problem (hydrotreater filter plugged) is from this condensate flare.
Anybody has this kind of problem ? How is it the solution ?

      Regards
