Insulation of Coke Drum

Greetings,

Would like to know if anyone has experiance of insulating the coke drum in DRESS UP mode i.e. insulating the coke drums on ground in horizontal position prior to erection.

yes, is better insulate in horizontal psition, because in vertical is not than easy and more expensive

I’m assuming to dress it in Horizontal position you are using an expandible insulation system instead of a floating system, isn’t that right?  In that way I would like to know what would be the disadvantages (if any) to use an expandible insulation system,  over the floating one (springs, life cycle, etc,..)
