Japan Energy restarts 35,500 bpd FCC after problem

TOKYO, Oct 13 – Japan Energy Corp said on Tuesday it restarted a 35,500 barrels per day fluid catalytic cracking unit at its Kashima refinery northeast of Tokyo earlier in the day after an unplanned shutdown on Sept. 28.
The FCC was shut due to a problem related to a compressor, although this did not affect the operations of a 210,000 bpd crude distillation unit at the refinery.
