April 30 (Bloomberg) — Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Europe’s
largest oil company, said a hydrocracker at Motiva Enterprises
LLC’s Norco, Louisiana, refinery will be shut for about a month
of repairs beginning in May.
The shutdown is scheduled to start at the end of May, Robin
Lebovitz, Shell spokeswoman, said in a telephone interview.
The hydrocracker, which converts heavy hydrocarbons into
lighter fuels such as high-octane gasoline, is the only such
unit at the 250,000 barrel-a-day refinery.
Motiva is owned by Shell and Saudi Arabian Oil Co.
