TOTAL at Port Arthur Refinry (PAR) in Texas (United States) launched on 2/12/08 (see below link) a Deep Conversion Project to build a 50,000-barrel-per-day coker, a desulfurization unit, a vacuum distillation unit and other related units.
It is expected up to 2,200 people will work on the $2.2-billion project, which is scheduled for commissioning in 2011.
