Does anyone experience oily water blowing out of the venturi during the removal of the top head??[:-]  We experience copius amounts on the intial opening of the venturi, and moderate amounts throughout the drilling process.  During a recent window of oppurtunity, we replaced the bottom venturi valves.  Found that the old ones had cracking in the seats so some leakage was happening.  Will know if this is a contributing factor in the oily liquid. Unsure if the top ventrui valves leak.  No visual indication particulately during cold weather.  Some speculations about the source of the oily liquid other than the leaking venturi valves, leaking quench oil, venturi sucking oily liquid from drum walls inside coke drum.   Does anyone have any thoughts on this topic.[8|]
