In my refinery we have shot coke and steam eruption related problems. I heard that SARA analysis could help to fight with these problems. We have not done this analysis yet on DCU feed. Can anyone explain me exactly how SARA analysis can be helpful? Exactly how can it help us avoid steam eruption? How often do we need to do this analysis (once per day), on what stage of the coking cycle do we need to take the sample? DCU feedstock is coming from more sources. Do we need to have SARA analysis on each source, or is it enough to have this analysis on the blended feed?
