CALGARY, Alberta, June 8 (Reuters) – Syncrude Canada Ltd., the largest producer from Canada’s oil sands, will restart a 100,000 barrel a day coker unit next week that had been shut for repairs since May 2, Canadian Oil Sands Trust (COS_u.TO: Quote, Profile, Research, Syncrude’s biggest shareholder, said on Friday.
The unit will begin processing bitumen on Monday, said Siren Fisekci, a spokeswoman for the trust, returning Syncrude’s output to about 350,000 barrels a day.
