Has anyone designed or utilized temporary preheating (via shell and tube exchangers or other heating medium) cold storage topped crude feed to a vacuum distillation unit in preparation for coker feed? Rough size of stream is 60MBPD of topped crude from 80 deg F storage tank to approximately 350 deg F inlet of first preheat exchanger at VDU? Any comments are welcome. Thanks!
