US Refinery Status: Valero Concludes Corpus Christi Maintenance
      Mar 11 2010, 15:30, Dow Jones
      DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn’t purport to be a comprehensive list.
Valero (VLO) will restart units at three complexes in Corpus Christi, Texas, Thursday following planned maintenance that began on February 26.

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) said Wednesday turnaround maintenance had been concluded at its Garyville, Louisiana, refinery; the work began in January following the completion of the expansion/upgrade project.
Marathon also said Wednesday that planned turnaround maintenance got underway at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky, refinery; the scope and duration of the work were not provided.
Tesoro Corp. (TSO) said Wednesday that it’s Wilmington, California, refinery would return to normal operations following Tuesday night’s plantwide power outage.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) said Tuesday that the hydrocracking unit at its St. Charles refinery in Norco, Louisiana, was returned to service and ramping towards planned rates; on March 1, the FCCU was returned to service. Turnaround maintenance continues at other units at the plant, including a crude and coker unit.
Hovensa’s (HES) key gasoline-making unit at its St. Croix refinery returned to service Monday following about six weeks of planned turnaround maintenance, the company said.
Harvest Energy Trust (HTE) said Monday that its Come By Chance refinery in Newfoundland, Canada, will operate a full rates by the end of March. The company decided to idle the entire refinery in early January, after a fire at an isomax unit. That decision, fueled by poor refining economics, allowed maintenance to be advanced. Harvest is owned by the Korean National Oil Company.
