      US Refinery Status: Valero To Shut Delaware Coker, Gasifier
       
      DOW JONES NEWSWIRES  Sept 10, 2009The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn’t purport to be a comprehensive list.
      Most recently, Valero Energy (VLO) said Tuesday that it is shutting down the coker unit and the gasifier complex at its Delaware City, Del., refinery until market conditions improve.
      And Frontier Oil (FTO) said Tuesday that a reformer unit at its Eldorado, Kansas, refinery was back at planned rates after restarting on Thursday; the unit was shut on August 27 due to a fire.
      Tesoro Corp. (TSO) Friday said the coker unit at its Martinez, Calif., refinery is back at planned rates after several weeks of scheduled maintenance.
      BP PLC (BP) Friday shut down an utlracracker unit at its Texas City, Texas refinery. On Wednesday, the same plant took an aromatics recovery unit at offline.
