Valero to shut down Norco plant in January for repairs

Valero Energy Corp. said it will shut down its plant in Norco, Louisiana, in January for planned work.
The Louisiana refinery will be closed for 36 days for repairs to a 190,000-barrel-a-day crude unit and a coker. The coker has been running at reduced rates because of poor margins.
