We are having plugging on the top (light nafta) of our main tower. We are thinking to do some chemical cleaning. We intend to wash by using the reflux pump and take out the water and dirty by light gasoil pump. The dirty inside the tower looks like corrosion products with salt. We are concerned about the packing beds. What will happen with the packing beds in terms of plugging and pressure drop ? What about the operation and fracionation ? Even during the unit maintenance ?
