We have used CIA laser inspection to assess our coke drums. As part of their report I have seen an anlysis of coke drum condition based on drum metallurgy. They do a large number of coke durm inspections around the world. You may want to contact them.

We commonly use spare cranes while our bridge crane is being serviced. We typically have smaller cranes that can travel via track accross the pit and load our coke crusher. If both cranes are down we have to use a fairly large (500 ton) crane that can extend over the top of the bridge crane rails. We then load dump trucks and transport the coke that way. It tends to get a bit messy though because it is often hard to load the dump trucks neatly without spilling some over the sides.

If you don’t get any help from the link Claus provided, give me a call and let me know your specific issuses and I’ll try to help. From my conversations with Tesco is it apparent that they no longer are in the business of providing support or spare parts for the foster wheeler design.
