    Mr. Filterman,

I am working in a new Coker design and we are in the bid process for HKGO filters.

We have references and familiar with both, old style own filtered product backwash system and the new gas assisted, but there is a new one using STEAM as backwash fluid which calls for very low backwash flow rate.

I’d appreciate if experience with steam backwash filters used in HKGO services is available.

    That’s what I thought.

I’ve also heard about other faciities (marathon coker) burning offgas in their heaters without burners, just pipe at many locations. I’d appreciate feedback about this.
Is marathon coker heater also provided with SCR?

    Thanks,

Mr. Gonzalez, it is very difficult for us to place an engineer directly out of Venezuela unless we are already dealing with a company that has the necessary H1B visa required to hire a Venezuelan national.  If you have a Permanent Resident, H1B, or an Asylum Visa, please contact me at:

It really helps; I’m getting about 12-15 min (LLL-HLL) as well.

I agree on 3-60% as more flexible design; how about the arrangement of 2 electric- 1 turbine?

Thanks all for your valuable responses

I have seemed cavitations problems with both arrangements, as well as with different designs: barrel type pumps (API BB5) and radial split type (API BB2). Anybody with good experience?
