Surge drum is good enough, but the volume of the surge drum should be able to handle the variation in naphtha flow during the coking cycle.
If the quantity is small, you can dispose it in WWTP in controlled/meterd dosing by monitoring the discharge effluent quality.
Is there any coker runnimg with only atmospheric resid as feed stock, please give reference.
