McPherson Refinery to Tie-In a New Coker Unit in 2014

NCRA-McPherson

The new Delayed Coking Unit at the McPherson Kansas refinery is planned to tie-in to the existing units during next fall’s full-plant turnaround but not targeted to go online until summer 2015.  This new Coker will replace the current Coker which has served the refinery since 1952.  While not expected to significantly increase production, it will allow the refinery to run different types of feedstock and get more liquid product out of the heaviest portions of crude oil.
