The availability of modern analytical tools and automated welding processes provides innovative solutions for the repair and stress improvements of pressure vessel components.

The Presentation will discuss the initial use of these techniques for the repair and improvement of nuclear components and their evolution into more mainstream use for coker vessel life extension and improvement of other refinery pressure vessel components. Field implementation examples will be discussed.
